Since its establishment in 2005, INTERMEDIA, a not-for-profit organization, has produced groundbreaking work in a variety of fields focusing mainly on media development and communication, and generated shaping research papers on multiple issues e.g. elections, media reforms in Federally Administered Areas of Pakistan, innovative training programs and effective radio production across the country including four provinces and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. These programs provide a platform to raise unheard voices and assist the communities to understand another perspective in a society that is heading towards more polarization and monologue.
The organization worked in the conflict-hit areas of Pakistan and ensured technical assistance to the journalistic bodies to enhance their management capacities and improve respective structures along-with raising professional standards of journalists themselves. INTERMEDIA, through its radio productions helped the terror-affected communities to dissolve their conflicts and boost peace building measures providing effective platforms and in general mended ways to restore trust in the society.
